Now if you on the other hand don't get your money back I'd say you have something to be upset about, and that would indeed make him look bad.
But not going through with the original agreement between you after all the back and forth on your part is just right imo. Let's not forget the fact that you did terminate that deal yourself when demanding that refund in your previous thread.
