Here it is folks. It's your very last chance to stand up on your own two feet and tell the people who are going to issue this extension how you really feel about it. It doesn't mean it won't happen. They are actually unclear as to what the "public comments" will be to, only that there will be an opportunity for them as the process to issue the extension proceeds.
ICANN Delays .XXX Vote, Will Seek Public Comment
http://www.xbiz.com/news/118507
This is your very last chance. This is your very last opportunity to publicly get something on the record.
Lawley has lobbied long and hard on behalf of every single one of you that "you" do in fact want the new .XXX extension. Maybe it's time for more of you to stand up and tell ICANN that in fact you DO NOT want it, even though it will still happen.
I don't think in the grand scheme of things that it matters much anymore, I just really don't want this guy to make any more money off of the "fear buying" that will happen as people try to protect their marks and brands.
If you do not even exert the effort to make an educated, professional comment to ICANN about your feelings on the issuance of the .XXX extension then don't come to GFY bitching about it later. They're going to ask you for your comments, give them to them. Professionally and respectfully.
Good Luck!
