LOL, imagine telling an nineteen year old American kid that they can't go to college because they have to go through boot camp and then serve the military for a year. Not fit for military service? No problem - They'll put you to work for a year in the "civilian service" - which I'm guessing is like the peace corps.

I would love to see every American teenager join the military for at least a year.
