My ex had Hodgkin's. He was diagnosed with it around the time our son was 4. The boy is soon to be 24, and his father is still going strong.
He did have a tough time with the treatments, but they saved his life.
I know it has to be terrifying, especially if you have young children that you are raising. Just try to stay focused on the positive, and enjoy things that make you laugh. Laughter certainly won't hurt, and it may even help.
