I dated a mormon for 4 years. She gradually left the church but her mom was really hardcore into it... I ended up going to several church services and meeting a lot of people from the chuch, a lot of them were a lot more extreme than the usual protestant "community church" type christians I was used to.
My conclusion is that Joseph Smith was a genius
Not a lot of guys would get away with finding "new chapters" of the bible and attracting millions to their cult these days...
