My girlfriends brother-in-law just passed away on 2-22-10 from Hodgkin's lymphoma but I am not sure how that compares to your specific type. He was diagnosed about 3 years ago and they tried a number of treatments which seemed to help for a while until last August it came back and he entered the VCU Massey Cancer Center in Richmond for a bone marrow transplant they claim his cancer was completely taken care of but while his immune system was recovering his kidneys failed and soon a bunch of other organs were affected by the time the kidneys recovered. He died cancer free they claim and amazingly was strong enough to never need any life support just heavy pain meds and saline in the end. He was a very strong man who had worked hard all his life so this may not be the norm but he was barely into his 40's and was in the same situation as you as far as two young kids 7 and 10.
I wish you so much good luck with your recovery and hope this doesn't taint your willingness to fight and to even further your research efforts. I live on almost the other side of Virginia from you but if you do have any extended hospital stays come up be sure to let us know if you want some visitors to help keep your spirits up!
