I had a friend in college that was raped by two guys and they got off from a technicality. They even had a confession from both of them admitting what they did so they would take a lesser sentence.

The parents were rich and hired an attorney that found some loop hole in what they did and they walked away free. Mainly because they gave the confession without an attorney present.

I felt bad for the girl tho, she was cool but definitely fucked her up. she dropped out of school one day, just packed up her shit and left, no one had any clue what happened to her or where she went
