In the last 3 years there has been two pills that give you other problems. If you can get your doctor to do it, go with the insulin pen. Check with a pharmacy and see if your insurance covers it. Mine had to get pre approved, but they did end up paying for it. The pens are like $125-250 for 5 with insurance they are only $30 for 5. A pen will last me a week. I am what they call borderline. When your borderline its really hard to get a pill that you can ajust where with insulin I just take a little after I eat and it doesn't bottom, it drops it just enough to where I am fine.
The day I found out I was diabetic, I went and ate a super chili dog with cheese and onions, a large fry and a large coke. That was the last coke I ever drank with sugar. Most of the time you will find me with a can or a bottle of diet mountain dew.
Another thing don't drink energy drinks, even if they are sugar free, they thicken your blood and can do more damage than being diabetic.
Watch your feet, if they start to swell up you need to get to the hospital as your retaining water, and working on congestive heart failure. Thats really important.

Sorry to hear that you're doing the battle with it, too. I'd never heard about the non-sugar energy drinks, so thanks for the head's up.
