That's where I think a lot of the burners will disagree. The thing about grunt work is that it IS so repetitive. It will drive you crazy after a while, unless you're half not there and flying on autopilot through the motions. I've been chopping through thumbnails for a new project 2 days straight, knocked off about 3000. No way in hell I would have managed that without being high as fuck with the stereo cranked and a the bong beside me. Been a while since I pulled one of those shitty thumbnail shifts.

It makes me feel for those poor 3rd world outsource laborers doing this shit for pennies. Just for a moment or so. I dunno on what, but I imagine half those guys are bombed all day too.

Coding, now that takes a clear head. I can't write shit when I'm baked. Not that I can when I've got a straight mind all that well, but it's just a bad idea. Like doing your taxes high as fuck.

I think if you know what you're doing and keep control of whatever it is you're doing, go for it. If it's limiting your productivity, stop. If it is expanding your ideas, helping your come up with new concepts, and keeping you in a groove improving your productivity, then keep on tokin'. Maybe designate periods for burning one up and having a brainstorm session. Just have the power to know how it is affecting you and react to it for the situation.
