And I would suggest you visit Amsterdam and see what a true free society feels like. Prostitution is right out in the open there. And the Europeans culture is much, much older and more mature than our country with it's sexual hangups.
It's okay for instance, for my teenage daughter to watch the movie "SAW" and see people mutilated and tortured. But it would "harm" her to see pornography. lol
Think about it with an open mind for a minute and you'll come to the same conclusion. That argument that prostitution would suddenly cause the country to fall to pieces is nonsense. Just like the making drugs legal argument.
NEWSFLASH: People do what they want whether it's legal or not. Prostitution is already all around you. Making it legal wouldn't change one thing except to give us back some of our freedoms and take away the govt. overreaching into people's lives. They are supposed to work FOR us, but we all know that these days we are slaves to the govt. and pay out the ass in taxes for the "privilege"

of course, anyone who doesn't think like you must be a closed minded prude. you are so right, its not even funny. europes redlight district is very regulated though. you can't just set up shop anywhere you like and there are rules you have to follow. streetwalking is not legal. people will do what they want but that doesn't mean we should legalize everything from rape to kiddie porn to murder, does it? as a society we need to set 'some' lines in the sand or the end result will be chaos because the average person is often times more animal than "man".
the Saw movies are rated R, by law, much like porn, your daughter is not supposed to be exposed to it. however, its true and very hypocritical that people think exposure to violence is ok but showing a boob will fuck them for life. i'm not sure what makes you think i am one of these people but hey, its all good.
