I usually use this password generator (pctools.com/guides/password/) for every new password I need to make up, with it set on 10chars and making 20 passes so I can choose one I like the look of (OCD much?). Another thing is not to have Firefox save your really important passwords (ones linked to money or site admins rather than just forums) and instead keep them in a .txt file to paste in each time you want to login somewhere. It might take you a few seconds more to login but it saves you landing on a page with a hidden script that is going to help itself to your signons3.txt and key3.db files leaving you totally fucked.
