I have all sorts of online properties from the past 10 years. I focus on SEO using blogs, free sites, a few tubes etc.
But the most important thing in my success I think is what I do once a surfer lands on one of my sites from a search engine. I dont just ship them off to a sponsor and hope for a sale. I focus on "pre-selling" them about the benefits of joining a particular site. That's why using quality sponsors with great member areas is key.
I avoid sending a surfer to the sponsor's official tour, chances are they have already seen it and the odds of them joining thru my link are against me.
I build my own tours (that way I keep control of the traffic instead of giving it up to the sponsor) and really only link to the sponsor using join linkcodes.
