DEADLIEST CATCH CAPT. PHIL HARRIS DIES FROM STROKE – The captain of Cornelia Marie of the show “Deadliest Catch” in Discovery Channel, Capt. Phil Harris, passed away. He was 53.
Capt. Phil Harris’ sons, Jake and Josh Harris sent a message regarding their father’s death: “It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our dad — Captain Phil Harris. Dad has always been a fighter and continued to be until the end. For us and the crew, he was someone who never backed down. We will remember and celebrate that strength. Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers. — Jake and JoshHarris”
Capt. Phil Harris suffered a stroke during an offload of crab. He was found unconscious and was airlifted to Anchorage Hospital and underwent 12 hours of surgery. Capt. Phil Harris was placed under a medically induced coma. He even showed some signs of improvement a week ago.
