Although they can be pests knocking on doors early saturday mornings etc - i've always found them to be pretty ok types. I mean most people treat them like shit and they get little personal gain (except what is in their heads). There was a couple of JW kids at our school and they had to stand by the main hall door as everyone filed in for morning service. They got a ton of shit and i used to feel pretty bad for them. Since i was more worried about my own status back then i never spoke up for them. Put back in that situation now i guess i would cut them a break.
Still i feel there are a lot of other groups you would need to worry about long long before JWs.
Their belief system does seem like it would have been better suited to a time before serious science made most religions seem a little off - but no more so than most other religions. I'd really be interested to know how a person would claim JWs are fucked up in the head and then actual speak up for islam? Although my sample size is small and thus lacks real power statistically speaking - my experience with those of islam has not nearly been so positive. I'm just talking about their general behaviour, outlook on life and opinions of other human beings. Even then i would not claim they were freaks and fucked up in the head, or find reason to post about it on an adult webmaster board.
