You may be right, that might be what people really mean...
however, I view the term as a simple, friendly somewhat familiar thing to say to someone. As example when I help out an affiliate and they thank me for the attention to the matter, I won't feel the least bit self conscious about replying 'no problem bro'.
To think that someone is a scammer just because they might idly throw out the occasional 'bro' is ridiculous
