1) It depends greatly on where you live. Some states prohibit filming adult content. So let's just assume you live in an area that allows it.

2) You will need to keep your testing current, just as all the stars you work with, you will want to make sure they have a valid / current AIM test.

3) It's not real romantic or even very fun but always business before pleasure. Before going down to "business" make sure you have checked her ID to ensure she is 18, get copes of her ID, have her sign a release and so on. Even if you are just having fun, you gotta keep it legal.

4) Keep extensive records of everything you spend and specifically what you spend it on, because yah, like any business, those expenses could very well be tax deductible and hiring of the talent is included.

5) Make sure you have all the proper permits required for a shoot. I know in Houston you must have a SIN license to do anything adult related and every city and state is different. Basically you just don't want to get busted for not having the proper paperwork. Some people keep the location a top secret so they can avoid this step but well taking that risk is really up to you.
