Smoking Ban?s
Ok, this may be an old issue but I was watching our local news here in Phoenix and a few more cities are jumping on the no smoking ban.
Correct me if I am wrong?. Didn?t this whole thing start in California? A state where you can do more damage to your lungs by just breathing the polluted air than you could ever do in a bar or restaurant. I mean common, most days you cannot see 100 yards in front of you because of the smog and people are worried about a little cigarette smoke.
Now because of this, more and more communities are following these footsteps and taking it one further. I mean really, not being allowed to smoke on a public street? I believe Main St. in Tempe has passed such a law. Not sure how well it is enforced, but it is a stupid law. Ok, indoors I can understand, but out in the open?
Personally, I refuse to spend my hard earned money in an establishment that limits my enjoyment. As a smoker, and I know there are others out there too, I cannot drink without a cigarette.
Here in Surprise, our stupid fucking mayor passed such a law without ever putting it to a vote to let people decide for themselves if they want this law or not. Don?t dictators do that sort of shit?
So, when people say that we Americans have so much freedom, I have to say that, yes, we may have a lot of freedom, but our freedom is slowly being taken away on a daily basis.
Just my opinion?.. Any thoughts?
