After winning the Super Bowl in 2007, Peyton Manning played a week later in the 2007 Pro Bowl in Hawaii.

ONE example? That's it? Funny how you don't even mention Kurt Warner only throwing 2 passes in the Pro Bowl LAST YEAR. You think that's what Warner fans paid good money for that year? To see him throw 2 passes then ride the bench the rest of the game?
Please go look over the past 10-12 years and tell me how many players that were on a Pro Bowl roster and also played in the Super Bowl also had significant playing time in that years Pro Bowl? 10% maybe 15%

The 2007 season was also Drew Brees' best season to date (the Saints lost in the NFC Championship to the Bears, the team the Colts beat in the Super Bowl), and Brees also played in the Pro Bowl that season (Brees dislocated his elbow in the 2007 Pro Bowl game).

Actually the Saints went to the NFC Championship in the 2006 season not 2007. In 2007 they went 7-9 and missed the playoffs. Brees had 6 weeks to rest. So WTF does that have to do with anything?

Manning also owns most of the NFL Pro Bowl records for the QB position - but you already knew that...

Well yeah he can play in all those pro-bowls since this is only his 2nd Super Bowl in 12 seasons. WTF does that have to do with anything? Seriously what does Manning playing in pro bowls in the years he's NOT in the super bowl have to do with the pro bowl rule of not letting players ACTUALLY IN THE SUPER BOWL play?
