So the big secrets:

1) cross sales as a business are based on your ability to monetize the sale into a single rebill and then profit on volume (i.e. if you take in 10k cross sales and make 1$ profit per thats 10k$ profit ;))
2) the majority of paysites have little ability to retain members so rely on cross sales out and cam and dating upsales to make profit.
3) the vast majority of paysite programs do under 50 sales a day.
4) most big cross sale programs would do over 1 to 2k sales a day.
5) if your an affiliate and thats your only source of revenue quit now.
6) real sales volume of 100+ sales a day without cross sales means you are a doing something right.
7) tube's havent hurt sales one bit on paysites, anyone who says they have didnt match the facebook and twitter and myspace alexa graphs to their sales.
8) if you think a reality tour or some bs designer who has never run a paysite knows how to make a good tour. You are on crack. Same goes for gallery designers if they dont submit galleries to big sites themselves then why buy from them?
9) your host matters dont go with the cheapest or the most expensive, test them out call them at 2 am and tell them your server is down find out how long it takes for them to get back to you. Check the connectivity and peer network they use.
10) if you run a paysite and use one or two billers, you are making a mistake have 10 mitigate your risk and thruput by adjusting your biller to the sales thru put of the moment.
