You did register her name cause she had no clue how to register it. U did that recently after the day you told her. opening for her a domain account somewhere and putting the domain up and on her name and giving it to her as a friend2friend gesture would have cost just as much time as you spend on making this post.
Yes, she has reason to say what she did say, it involves her own name. You had no right to take it and sit and wait. Of course from business point of view we tend to think a little different. Stupid to let an opportunity like this pass by. But never the less, you crossed a line, for her this is a principal matter.
