I'd like to give some input on this subject.
I was at a gas station up in Brunswick, where they wanted 75 cents to turn on the air pump so I could put air in my tires. I told them that the first station that I went to, their pump was not working and it almost emptied my brand new tire. I asked them if they could turn it on as a courtesy thing, because Speedway does that, but this gas station wouldn't do it. So I was turning to leave and a black lady said hey, here, and gave me a dollar. She said, do it for someone else when they need it.
That's the kind of thing I wish happened more in this world. I feel bad that it's a fight or die type world, but that's what America has turned it into.
My input on the toll fee someone paid is this: doing a good deed does not make anyone trustworthy. He didn't expect the money back. What he did was a good deed, because a lot of us believe that what comes around, goes around, and others believe in karma, and others believe that that's our purpose, is to help each other out. He paid for your toll because you forgot your wallet. The lady paid for my air (yes, paid for AIR) because I didn't have the dollar. We've got to pass it on to someone else, when they need it. That's what the people who helped us out, wanted. It's all about helping out people in need.
I wouldn't mail the money back to him. I would give it to the next person you see that needs help. If they're a couple bucks short for their purchase, give it to them. If you see 4 people needing a dollar each, for air, give it to them. The whole reason he gave you the money is so you can pass it on when you see someone in need. Keep the chain going!
