its simple: those of us who use it to keep in touch with our friends and family in germany, new York, California, Portland, all over the world use it daily to keep in touch with people who we would otherwise lose contact with. I sit here in new Orleans and talk to my family in Germany every day and enjoy connecting with friends and family I never see because they live on the other side of globe. They take pics of their child and I see them in seconds, facebook is great for what it is.
Those people who want to spam it all day with pron of course see no purpose for it
