Right, I agree. I got my stuff from godaddy and now I get hit with high privacy fees. Right you get free privacy if you register 5 domains with them. But you get hit with privacy at the first RENEWAL! or does anyone have a solution for that?

I am transferring my domains away from them. Will look into name.com, namecheap.com as recommended by you guys.

I got my domains on 1&1 now. Great pricing, free privacy. 1&1 is a huge web site hoster, so they have a solid backing and solid name.

1&1 Internet and Domains

They are somewhat bureaucratic about identification when opening accounts, but their prices are excellent. They have good and cheap hosting packages, but I haven't tried the hosting yet. You have to dig a little to get to the domain buying places, seems they are not too keen on selling domains.
