Are you kidding me?
A person who would believe that whooey would believe ANYTHING that their minister or spiritual/church community leader says and since the people on Fox News believe in all of the above and frequently profess... don't you think that they also believe what Fox News and all of it's ideological inanity says and represents?
Sarah Palin believes in "Spiritual Warfare"... ask any number of people who grew up in an evangelical environment, such as myself and a number of other people who post here, and I think you will find it more than coincidental that we have all seen and experienced wierd shit coming from that movement.
Many church's have "Revelation Seminars" where they constantly bombard the congregation with fear and loathing... fear of the end and loathing of anyone who is not "one of us". "We are the 144,000!"...

The point isn't that they are morons. The point is that they VOTE and they are brainwashed to do the bidding of racists with the agenda of turning back the clock and pushing us back to the dark ages. They have been getting in the way of stem cell research in a way that has kept the research from progressing. Stem cell research can lead to cures for many incurable diseases, but it will take years longer because idiots think scientists are killing babies.
Imagine that one day you could be told be a doctor that you will die of a disease that could have been cured were it not for neanderthals getting in the way of the research. Yeah, I could blow them off the way that most who are rationalists do, but I might one day wake up with a new law that tells me I have to attend church on Sunday or go to jail.
The Islamic world is almost useless as a place for the growth of science. Religious theocracies retard the advancement of science and censor the arts. Richard Dawkins spends almost all his time on fighting the lies pushed by creationism instead of doing what he is best at - scientific research. Do you think he wants to do that? No, but he realizes that if he doesn't, science and humanity might suffer greatly because of the idiots who believe in talking snakes. Should Dawkins just blow them all off?
