Yes
Taxes it the worlds highest (average og more than 60%)
"Denmark holds the record of the heaviest tax burden in the world. The Danish tax system is so complicated and impenetrable, that even tax experts must specialize in limited areas of the system. Many tax components are disguised and invisible. To this come a large number of fees and fines, which are also disguised taxing. The system is constructed so that it is normally not possible for a citizen to calculate the precise size of his tax burden.
A few examples -
Residents in Denmark pay from their income labour market contribution 8%, other special contributions 1% and income tax up to 59% "of the last krones". In all the income taxes thus amount up to 68% "of the last krones".
Using the income left over after the income tax, people pay 25% value added tax on all goods and services. Besides the VAT, on all goods are payed "point taxes". The size of the point tax differs from article to article, and no normal citizen has any grasp of this tax type.
So when a resident in Denmark has bought the everyday necessities, his tax has increased to some unknown level more than 76%.
Another example.
A man bying any car, say a used car worth 20,000 krones, must pay a registration fee of 180% besides the value added tax of 25%. In all 205% tax. The 20,000-krones car now costs him 61,000 krones. But to raise the 61,000 krones for the car, he must earn 190,625 krones and pay income tax 129,625 krones, left 61,000 krones. Thus to buy a 20,000-krones car a man must earn 190,625 krones and pay in all 90% in tax.
