Those " goofy " glasses are meant to be functional not stylish. BTW mine were black wrap around that did an excellent job.
The reason everyone was " staring at the screen like zombies " is because they were fully engrossed in the movie. That's a good thing. If people were talking and looking around and playing with themselves that means the movie didn't hold their attention. That's a bad thing.
Like I said I was a little bummed to see that people so far in the future still had the destructive habits that plague us today. It's a little disheartening to think that life doesn't get better in the future and we can't learn from our mistakes and are destined to repeat them.
However, I KNOW this is just a story and can shrug it off. I'm sure other people with weaker minds will have problems differentiating between fantasy and reality just as some do with everyday life today. One would hope there would be an answer for that as well in the future.
Nothing's wrong with not liking the movie. To each his own but to bash it and say it sucked says more about you than the movie.
