I see it more likely a case of when the computer interfaces directly into your brain, so your reality becomes what is in the computer, you won't need the difficult task of trying to create a mechanically perfect robot, but rather the reality will be in your brain so you would not be able to tell the difference between looking at a real person or the virtual reality that is "projected" directly into your mind
