Let's get rid of all the guns in the US. Then criminals can illegally smuggle them in like they already do with drugs and won't have to worry about any vigilantes getting in their way.

Oh right, knives can be used as weapons. Let's get rid of all the knives in the US too. All the blunt objects...what else? Hey, Joe Pesci stabs a guy with a pen in Casino, let's get rid of all pens and pencils. Oh, and that guy recently killed his wife accidentally when throwing a TV remote at her, clocking her in the head and killing her, so damn...no more TV remotes either.

All the criminals will illegally smuggle them in anyways though. If we get rid of all the guns, we rely 100% on our inept police force to protect us, and that's if they feel like protecting us because lord knows what happens if you catch one of them on a bad day.

The sad truth is I HATE guns and ANY weapons and really wish people would all collectively agree to fucking get along for the benefit of ALL of us. But it will never happen because people want money, power, etc. and some people are willing to threaten, injure and kill others to get it.
