I think the term is "singing like a canary" So what you have here is the guy holding all the cards more or less doing "some" singing to warn those who might want to use him as their scapegoat. Grant it he deserves everything he would get and it will eventually come out along with his co-conspirators. Cheney has admitted to hiring out these goons and the goons have admitted to doing it. Eventually ALL of them will answer for their crimes against humanity.
