Last week my mother died. Everyone close to her always told me how much she enjoyed riding with me, that she probably talked more about the ride than the actual length of the ride itself.
Since she was being cremated I suggested to my dad that perhaps I should transport the ashes to the cemetery on my bike. He loved the idea.
Cremation was yesterday, so this morning the youngest of her 12 children (my sister) and the eldest (me) rode down to the Riverside National Cemetery for the internment of her ashes.
My son met us along the way and rode the last 25 miles or so with us. I decided to memorialize the ride for the family, so if interested:
Her final miles.
