Israel does have tight security but it seems the problem with this last case is basic core risk management.

1. His father tipped off the embassy that his son was acting strange/radical..hence he got put on a list....so you have a guy on a list who is now suspect.

2...This is the kicker for me .....That same person on the list then later flies to the USA for a visit on ..get this ...a ONE WAY TICKET !!

If the above doesnt attract warning flags..then its time to start again from the base up.
