I think that it is somewhat funny that we say that 'our system failed' when the guy got on a plane in Nigeria with the bomb and was then missed in Amsterdam as well. Where the fuck is 'our system' in all of that? With the exception of not accepting the parent's earlier warnings as completely serious, I think that we made very few errors and I applaud the quick actions of the passengers and crew on that flight. But, I certainly think that we give Al Qaeda, the MILF (no, not hot moms), the Taliban, and every other terrorist organization, extremist, or insurgent a good laugh every time that we have these 'knee jerk' reactions (someone on here called it that, yesterday, and I think that it is a great analogy). All too often we quickly point the finger at ourselves and make everyone, except the root source of the problem, suffer because of it.
