of course it does. why else do it? you beg for negative attention all the time. don't be shocked when you get it when you don't want it.

[QIUOTE]my only consideration is that my site easydater which honestly looks like shit outsells the sites people on here tell me are how I should make yessignals look.....it sells at about the same rate as pimproll, nasty dollar, bangbros, naughtyamerica or adult.com sites for me and I have years of data to back that up. and that's with ccbill only - i don't even cascade it.
i had never seen "easydater.com" before. Here is where i would say is the first place you've derailed. if i visit easydater.com - i can clearly see its a porn site. i see the episodes, the models, that everyone is fucking and "i get it".

if i visit yessignals.com - its absolutely NOT clear what it is or what its focus is or what you're selling and you've blurred the line between two distinctly different offerings - "porn" or "how to pick up women". its horrible as porn. its horrible as a PUA type site.

there is no focus and its primary focus/benefit/value is not communicated well in its presentation

so the looks like shit argument doesn't really hold weight. I believe it's about the sales pitch and what motivates people... Also the other PUA sites that people say are doing well honestly look like crap.
the argument about design, looking like shit, looking polished etc and conversions we both know is as old as porn online.

in this case "looks like shit" means "that guy should know much better.. but apparently doesn't"

what I like about this is how many men see it and realize a situation where they saw a particular yes signal and didn't realize what it was. I've heard dozens of people tell me that. What I like is how many women tell me this is real and men NEED to know this. There is something there.
again... i'm not disputing that idea. what i'm saying is that you are not creating a pick up artist site. you are taking bad porn and trying to pass it off as something educational or as entertainment rather than something someone wants to jack off to. the more unfocused you are in your offering and how you communicate what you're offering.. the more problems you'll have trying to close the sale.

you can't sell crème brûlée at a taco stand with the reasoning that "people love crème brûlée" - its about the target market, focus and an appropriate/clear/focused approach that properly communicates to the target market that you have what they need and are searching for.
So I'm refining my sales pitch and working on getting the newsletter together......if it is similar to a dating site for sales I won't have accurate numbers till I'm into the new year
that's great. i would say that as long as you approach things with an attitude that says "i'm going to let the data lead the way" rather than "i know it all", i'm sure you could do fine as you will ultimately end up with a model that works and should always be improved. i think people tend to give too much weight to ideas, focus on them and fall in love with them, which in turn, tends to leave one blind to the valuable information that comes back with traffic and sales and communication with users.
