Actually - the law is not that black and white. If it was, there wouldn't be this much controversy over it. Actually, from the posts I read of yours - our attorney does not feel that you are in compliance either....or at least the advice your attorney gave.

The question to me is NOT whether a provider has adequate 2257 information listed on their website. The reason for that is our attorney does NOT believe that listing the primary producer on your 2257 statement is going to cover your ass or make you 2257 compliant.

Our attorney has advised us that we must maintain adequate age verification documents from any content that we license. He is an adult site lawyer and has a lot of experience in the gay market specifically.

So, we are now in the process of contacting all of our content brokers and getting these records and updating our own 2257 compliance statement. Amazingly, it hasn't been a problem so far to get these documents....just a little time consuming.

So again, my is that it doesn't really matter to me when purchasing content if my supplier has a po box address listed or a physical address. Just give me the age verification documents. That is now a deal breaker...if you can't give me the documents, we can't do business. To me, that is what aaron's list should be guaging. It's not a matter of whether or not the content supplier's site is 2257 compliant, but whether your site is!
