Is she suing the city too? You know...since it happened out in the street and all. She'd likely win a better judgement going that route, assuming she wins at all. Sounds like her reason for suing is based on negligence, which looks pretty flimsy to me anyway. Some idiot shot at people on the street out front of the bar and that makes the building's owner responsible in some way...how?

Your lawyer should be able to shred her case six ways to next tuesday, hopefully with costs.

If anything the woman should be suing the idiot who shot her.
