Amateur has always sold well, the problem has been producing it. As some say they think amateur should be shot HD which demands good lighting. Once you go down that road you get away from the niche,
But the most important thing is the models and the way it's shot. Too often it ends up looking like a badly shot scene of a professional model.
As for it's profitability, before I was ill I was talking about shooting amateur for a big sponsor, his problem was he was unable or unwilling to pay a decent price. To me the success of a market is down to what people are able/prepared to pay to fill their site.
