A big problem with the adult industry is that too many people/companies do not care, and they instead place short term profits over ethics, even if it means undermining and doing long-term damage to their own industry.
Unfortunately, many people in the adult industry have no business acumen whatsoever, which is why so many fail so miserably in the long run.
The worst part is that some who have the biggest success, are also the biggest lying thieves/scammers around, willing to knowingly sell out an entire industry for their own selfish benefit.
No one should forget that AFF has aided and abetted many of the shadiest companies behind the current downturn in the adult industry.
I find it somewhat comical, but also sad, that so many people still kiss the asses of the very people who are screwing their industry over.
The owners of AFF have made lots of money scamming people for a long time, even though it is not reflected in the bottom line of their failing company (the reality is that they have been running up huge losses in recent years).
If they had a good business model, they wouldn't have sold off to such a shady company as they did (I remind you about the iBill-Penthouse connection), and the IPO would have already occurred, and would be paying dividends by now.
I suspect that the principals currently in charge don't care, as long as they can cash in at the expense of many others before their house of cards collapses from it's own weight.
