DOnt get me wrong... she shot him in full defense... presumably since we dont know the rest of the story and it cuts off...
But... She very well might not had to have shot and or killed him if she warned him of her intentions to pretect herself with a shotgun... she could have told him as well as the lady on the phone... she also could have shot a warning shot... she could have stuck that barrel out a window letting him know shes fucking serious...
He did bust in and he got shot... im not saying shes wrong... but she might have been able to deflect the whole situation it now is...
