Haven't seen one paysite owner asking to be promoted in this way.
All I see is examples of companies that forbid it.

I am not sure, perhaps Eric would like to come in here and say yes or no. I can tell you one thing though, I bet if its not allowed its clearly stated in their TOS.
And search the thread, theres been several programs that allow it. A few have even invited me to their program to specifically start PPC campaigns for them on the first page of the thread.
Regardless, this comes down to an issue of YOU NOT PAYING. You have nothing in your TOS about PPC traffic, AND YOU ACCEPTED MY TRAFFIC AND JOINS LONG AFTER YOU STOPPED PAYING ME, ALL WITHOUT WARNING. That is the issue here.
