IsoHunt Asks Court to Legalize Its Operations

I have not reviewed the applicants entire notice to determine whether or not he is making any distinction specific to music. Not that it matters.

The other critically important thing is the error made in saying that ISOHunt has made an application to the Supreme Court of Canada. They have, in fact, applied to the Supreme Court of British Columbia. As it is probable that the Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA) will bring any legal actions in Ontario, ISOHunt may be wasting a lot of time, energy and financial resources in court in B.C.

isoHunt has filed a statement of claim with the Canadian Supreme Court as part of a pre-emptive strike against the Canadian Recording Industry Association. isoHunt owner, Gary Fung, is seeking confirmation by the court that torrent index sites are legal.
