Ummm... Apparently you need to learn how Alexa works....
Obviously stats are gonna be higher if the pool is low... If 100 people have Alexa installed, and 10 of them visit your site, you've got 10% Alexa stats... Therefore that site will have a high Alexa rank.
Also Alexa is based on PAGE VIEWS, so a forum is gonna have a high Alexa rank, especially if the users have high page views... Currently as of yesterday's stats GFY has had 10.4 page views PER USER...
Put those 2 together, and you have a site getting no more than 5,000 daily unique visitors having a huge Alexa rank... That's 52,000 page views... Now most of them are webmasters, whether you believe it or not... and have Alexa's toolbar installed, or SearchStatus for FireFox.
Also back to the "whos a webmaster and who isn't" debate, get off your shit, not everyone wants to tell you what they do, and give their complete business plan to you.
Just because YOU don't know what they do, doesn't make them not webmasters...
What would surfers really gain from being here? True surfers stick to their areas, the contest forums, and would you hit it threads, and I can tell you this, 90% of the trolls here who YOU think are not webmasters rarely even venture into those areas let alone stick to them.
So what do they gain from it? Nothing... Why be here trolling when they can be at the likes of Ebaums World, Something Awful, Gen May, Entensity, and other troll haven boards?
