Um... it's not hard to see he's referring to the way people are treated. Have you noticed all the people who have "quit" or "moved on" for some great reason (or not)? With large companies that try to think of themselves as being professional, allowing employees to say they 'quit' is usually an ego-saving way to say they were fired.
