You do realize revenue tells you absolutely zilch about how much a company is
making or losing, right? $16B in revenue against $18B in expenses means you
lost $2 billion. $16B in revenue against $12B expenses would mean you made
$4B. There's a big difference. Of course, either way that's the total earnings
of all stockholders combined. Each stockholder made something like 40 cents
on their investment. I guess that increases my mom's retirement account enough
that she can buy one serving of ramen noodles.
Since you want to look at the second quarter of 2009, Microsoft also had to lay off
5,000 people in those three months. How many of those people could have kept
their jobs if it weren't for thieving bastards who refuse to pay for their work?
Anyone who has read any of my posts knows I'm no fan of Microsoft. I haven't
used any of their products in over ten years. I don't buy Microsoft products because
I much prefer reliable, secure systems, and because Microsoft is basically evil, but
I don't steal from them because I'm not evil.
