Yeah, there's definitely a lot of downsides. My whole body seems to dry out very fast. I drink a lot more than usual and I seem to get a headache fast in the daylight, cause my eyes are so sensitive. I also have to get my blood checked every month to make sure my liver is not taking a bad beating.
But then again, living with acne for years (6-7 years to be exact) is a fucking pain and makes it very easy to not give a shit about any of that. The worst thing is people see acne as something dirty that people who do not take care of theirselves have. I wash my hands at least 5 times a day, shower daily with not too much soap (yes it's bad for the skin), and generally eat pretty healthy. I've used TONS of lotions and other bullshit, probably wasted close to $1k on random products that claimed to do wonders against acne.
