Do you really reach back with your middle finger and press those buttons? If the answer is yes I don't even think that's a good thing for your finger lol.

It seems about the same way for me using rechargeables, maybe it is the mouse then? I had a wireless logitech 'something' and after like 3 months it would start making my cursor fly all over the screen and I'd have to recharge the energizers
