Does the broker need copies of all releases and IDs to be fully compliant? .... or can he just pass the responsibility down to the producer?... or worse yet, the producer's agent...

We require copies of all documents for items we sell. I believe Web-Legal has started to do this too for anyone non-US based. Not sure about any other brokers.
