It is great that they give the name and address of the producer... but what are they doing to verify that information?
Does the broker need copies of all releases and IDs to be fully compliant? .... or can he just pass the responsibility down to the producer?... or worse yet, the producer's agent...
Does anyone know the U.S. law on this?

A broker should not only confirm that these records exist, but it's a VERY good idea to keep them on file as well as confirmation of this fact. We require full documentation for every content set we broker for other producers in an unaltered state. We will provide altered (for model's protection) documentation for webmasters if requested. However, as I say, I know we confirm this information and keep records on hand, I would assume most otehr brokers who are concerned with full compliance would do so as well.
