From the seller's perspective... someone offered me $10k for a baby paysite which was grossing a few thousand dollars a year. At the time the US dollar was strong so the windfall was more significant when converted to Aussie dollars.

The sale ultimately fell through because of the financial and stock backlash after 9/11. The buyer lost too much and had other things to worry about.

That same site now makes me $10k a few times over every year...
