Yes I had some huge backup problems.. the summary is I was hosting a few sites with a friend who's hosting kept regular backups. Friend suddenly disappeared (RIP? ), hosting went down and they would not discuss anything with me because I am not my friend. Had to use a local backup from 2006

Moral of the story: backups are insanely under valued and host kept ones are almost useless.
Moral of the story PS: MySQL data is very under valued also lol.
