There are plenty of pro. office buildings with interesting people. Dont think that if you got an office, you would "just sit there, alone".. Thats defeatist. Go hang out with the people from the nearby offices. Order in a big sandwich and invite people in. Shit like that.
Or if you must, then get an application from your corner store or grocery store. Somewhere you go anyway where they've known you forever. Work part time, get a taste of it.
I used to LOVE the people aspect of my old career, but the higher ups started to get too much pressue and apply it down the line to where helping the customer was only a quaint notion. Thats when it wasn't fun any more. Was just surreal.
Just expect the cycle to repeat, thats all.
